FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Everything prospects ask us, engines, output, reliability, Claude, and pricing, so you can evaluate without a single email.

Getting Started

How do I test with no commitment?

Sign up free with Google and you get 300 creditsto run the non-Claude engines right away, no strings. Want more test volume? Pick any plan on the pricing page; it's purely for testing, no ongoing commitment.

How do I get an API key?

After logging in, go to Settings → API Keys and generate one. Pass it as the X-API-Key header on every request.

Can I test Claude on the free credits?

Claude runs with your own Claude account credentials. Connect your account and you can call Claude alongside the other engines; the 300 free credits get you started on the rest.

Engines & Coverage

Which AI engines do you support?

ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Meta AI, Grok, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, and Claude. Google SERPs too. Copilot is on the near-term roadmap.

Do you support Grok, and will you keep it available?

Yes. When xAI changed things and most providers dropped Grok, we did the infra work to keep it reliable and maintain it through the changes rather than pulling it. It's live and self-healing.

Does it work on Google?

Yes, Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, and the underlying Google SERPs, all with structured answer text and citations, run from whatever country you specify.

Do you capture ChatGPT ads?

We could, until OpenAI stopped serving ads to non-logged-in sessions. Our ChatGPT collection uses non-logged-in sessions, so since that change ads no longer appear in the response. It's on our radar.

Data & Output

What do I get back?

The full answer text plus structured citations (title, URL, position), and the raw SSE stream as the source of truth. One clean, parseable object per request.

Is it the same as the real UI answer?

Yes. It's pulled from the real logged-in web experience, so it's 1:1 with what a user actually sees in the app, not a reconstructed version or the official-API model output.

Do I get the SSE stream and an HTML file?

You always get the SSE stream. HTML only appears when the engine returns HTML instead of SSE, it's one or the other per request, decided by the engine, not us. The SSE stream carries the complete response, so everything parses from it.

What structured modules do you capture?

Answer text, citations, and fan-out / follow-up queries. Shopping carousels, ads, and "People Also Ask" blocks vary by engine, tell us the exact elements you track and we'll confirm coverage per engine.

Tech & Reliability

Async or sync?

Both, at no extra cost. For async you POST /v1/wire/task and get a job_id back immediately, then poll GET /v1/wire/jobs/{id}for the clean result once it's ready. One task per submission.

Do you handle multi-turn conversations?

Supported (beta) via conversation_id. The first call uses an empty conversation_id and returns one; reuse that id on the next call to continue the same thread.

What concurrency and volume can you handle?

We offer the best concurrency in the market, up to 600 concurrent and up to 1,500 RPM. We can always increase concurrency further at some added cost. Bursts and scheduled batches are fine.

What's your success rate and latency?

Non-Claude engines run at ~99.8% success with p95 under 30s, at ~1M requests/day for clients. Claude runs ~93% with p95 ~40s.

What happens on a failed request?

You're not charged, only successful requests are billed. Retries and failures never draw down credits. On Claude we retry internally before marking a job failed.

What if an engine changes its UI and breaks collection?

We self-heal. Auto-healing systems detect and adapt to changes, backed by a dedicated 25+ engineering team that fixes breakages fast, so your feed doesn't silently go down. $1k+/month contracts get prioritized support on exactly this.

Can I control the country the prompt runs from?

Yes, set the country per request and we route through a proxy there, so the response reflects that location. State and city are supported in major markets, at no surcharge. The country list is largely shared across engines; login-gated engines can be marginally narrower in a few small markets.

Are responses unbiased? Do memories leak between requests?

No leakage. Memory is off on every account, each prompt runs in a fresh conversation(optionally incognito), and we don't share a single login across customers. A reused account behaves like a clean-slate one on every call.

Claude

Which Claude models do you support?

Haiku and Sonnet (Sonnet 5 via claude-sonnet-5). No Opus or Fable. Run with web search and citations; best without extended thinking, which visibility queries don't need.

Do I have to provide Claude account credentials?

Yes. You run Claude with your own Claude account credentials: pass your credential_id in the request and call Claude like any other engine.

Pricing & Credits

What does it cost?

Per 1,000 successful requests, only successes billed:

ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Meta AI, Google AI Overviews, AI Mode · $0.80 / 1kGrok · from $10 / 1kCopilot · from $10 / 1kClaude · $6 / 1k
Pay-as-you-go or subscription?

Both. Pay-as-you-go is fully usage-based with no lock-in; a monthly commit unlocks lower rates. Start PAYG and move to a commit whenever volume justifies it.

Any hidden fees or add-ons?

None. Geo-targeting, async and sync endpoints, and web search / citations are all included, no surcharges or extra credit costs.

Is pricing the same across engines?

Yes for the public engines (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, AI Mode, AI Overviews). The exceptions are Grok ($10/1k), Copilot ($10/1k) and Claude ($6/1k).

Is there a minimum commitment?

None. Every engine is pay-as-you-go, with optional monthly commits that lower the rate.

How do credits work?

You get 300 free credits on signup. Credit cost per request by engine:

ChatGPT 2Gemini 2AI Mode 2Perplexity 2Grok 10Claude 3

Legal & Comparisons

Do you certify compliance with the engines' Terms of Use?

We operate as the data-collection / infrastructure layer and don't issue a formal ToS-compliance statement, the terms-of-use assessment is left to each customer's own use case.

Do you provide legal indemnity?

No formal indemnity is included as part of the service. Happy to walk through how customers typically approach this on their side.

How are you better than BrightData / Firecrawl / DataForSEO / Exa / Cloro?

One clean API instead of stitching several vendors, and we cover the AI answer engines with real answers + citations, which SERP and page scrapers don't. ~1M requests/day at 99.8%, top-tier concurrency, self-healing on UI changes. Typically 30–50% cheaper, and often cheaper on credit consumption too, you only pay for successes.
