Claude Connector Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This policy explains what the Anakin connector for Claude (the "Connector") processes when you connect it to Claude (claude.ai, Claude Desktop, or the Anthropic API) athttps://mcp.anakin.io/mcp and use its tools. It supplements our general Privacy Policy, which also applies to your Anakin account and the underlying Services.

2. What the Connector Processes

Tool inputs from Claude

When Claude calls a tool, we receive its arguments — for example the URL to scrape, a search query, a research prompt, or a Wire action_id and its parameters. These are processed to perform the requested operation and returned to Claude as the tool result.

Your Anakin identity (OAuth)

When you connect, you authenticate with your Anakin account via OAuth 2.1. We receive your Anakin user identifier to associate the Connector with your account. We never receive your Anakin password from Claude, and you never paste an API key into Claude.

A dedicated API key

On first authorization we mint a single API key named "Claude (MCP)" scoped to your account, stored encrypted at rest. The OAuth token Claude holds contains only an opaque reference to this key, never the key itself.

Third-party site credentials (only if you connect your own accounts)

If you connect a third-party account (for example via the wire_login feature of the full connector), we process the login fields you supply for your own accounts that you are authorized to access, to establish a session on your behalf. The password is not stored — only an encrypted session/credential is retained so subsequent actions you initiate can run. You can list and remove these saved identities from your Anakin dashboard.

The directory-listed connector exposes read-only data tools; account connection and state-changing actions are part of the full connector and always require your authorization.

3. What the Connector Does Not Do

• It does not access your Claude memory, chat history, or files.
• It does not execute financial transactions or transfer funds/assets; payment-style actions are refused by the Connector.
• It does not use your inputs or results to train AI models.
• It does not sell your personal information.

4. How Data Flows

Claude sends a tool input and your OAuth token to mcp.anakin.io, which resolves your "Claude (MCP)" key (over an internal, secret-authenticated channel) and calls Anakin's first-party API at api.anakin.io to perform the operation.

Web-data tools (scrape, search, map, crawl,agentic_search) fetch content from the public web and third-party sites you target. Wire tools operate vetted automations on the sites you name. Some tools egress through proxy locations you select via a country parameter.

Note: per Anthropic, the API MCP connector is not covered by Zero Data Retention; data exchanged with the Connector is retained under Anthropic's standard policy on their side.

5. Retention

• Resolved API keys are cached transiently (up to 60 seconds) to serve tool calls, then re-resolved.
• Tool inputs and outputs are processed to fulfill the request and retained per the retention terms in our general Privacy Policy(for example, job history including submitted URLs is retained for 1 year and is deletable from your dashboard).
• Operational logs are retained for security and abuse-prevention purposes.

6. Security

Transport is HTTPS/TLS. The "Claude (MCP)" key and any Wire session credentials are encrypted at rest. The resource server holds no database credentials or encryption keys; key resolution happens over an internal, secret-authenticated endpoint.

7. Your Controls

• Revoke access by deleting the "Claude (MCP)" key in your Anakin dashboard, or by disconnecting the Connector in Claude. Revocation takes effect within about 60 seconds.
• Manage or remove saved Wire identities from your dashboard.
• Submit access or deletion requests to support@anakin.io.
