Anakin vs. Firecrawl
Anakin does everything you use Firecrawl for, scrape, crawl, structured JSON, and returns clean data on even the pages that time out everywhere else.

Where Anakin wins
Three things that decide it
Coverage
More of the web, one API.
more sites covered than Firecrawl
200M+ active pages and growing. The long-tail commerce and review sites Firecrawl comes back empty on, Anakin returns.
Lower cost
Fewer credits per response.
fewer credits per JSON
3 credits per structured response versus Firecrawl's 5, a lower bill on comparable Scale plans before you even count retries.
Support & self-healing
It heals itself. We fix the rest.
to a custom-built fix
A self-healing system catches what breaks and re-solves it automatically. Hit an edge case? One message and we build the scraper for you.
Real pages, real failures
Firecrawl returned nothing. Anakin returned this.

On speed, it's basically a tie
Latency is comparable, and on light pages Firecrawl is marginally faster. We're closing that gap. Coverage, cost, and support are already ahead.
Relative. Bars this close = a tie.
FAQ
Straight answers
Is Anakin a drop-in replacement?+
Yes. Anakin does everything you use Firecrawl for: scrape, crawl, structured JSON, all from one request. You get more site coverage, a lower cost per response, and custom scrapers when you need them.
Is Firecrawl actually slower?+
Not really. Latency is comparable, and on light pages Firecrawl is marginally faster. Anakin pulls ahead on the pages where the real question is whether the data comes back at all. Server-side we run under 312ms p99.
What is the self-healing system?+
When a source site changes and an extraction starts failing, Anakin detects it and re-solves the scrape automatically, so your fields don't silently go null. If something needs a human, our team builds a custom scraper for you.
Where's the benchmark from?+
An open, reproducible suite that runs both tools against the same URLs. See it on GitHub. The failing pages shown here are real URLs where Firecrawl returned errors and Anakin returned content.
